Before moving into the wellbeing space I worked in the fast paced, high pressure world of media production as a freelance director, producer and camera operator - an area I still dabble in to get my fix of creativity, hustle and bustle. In lockdown I started not for profit CIC 'Flip Your Dog For Mental Health', offering free yoga and wellbeing to low income families and marginalised communities in Hackney, East London. I carried my interest in charity work into fundraising for Medicine Sans Frontier, and then spent 2 years as a recovery worker supporting people with alcohol and substance use issues, where I worked with clients 1:1 and also ran support groups. This work came about as I sought support and guidance for myself, as I have a close family member who has had a long running relationship with heroin and crack.
I bring these skills and life experience, along with my personal encounters with mental health, challenging times and self growth, to my work. As cliched as it may sound, it's a genuine honour to guide and support people as they explore and nurture a healthy relationship with self, and bring the gift of their fullness to the world.
